The story of the Paloma

A popular folk song composed in the early 1860s is said to be the inspiration for the Paloma. But it was a US import that gave the cocktail its superior flavor…

…raised in the US

By 1999, a restaurant in California was serving a Paloma. By the end of the century, the Paloma was filtering across the states. And it had gained a fizzy new ingredient: grapefruit soda. The American invention gives the Paloma the flavor we love today.

Tequila, lime juice, grapefruit soda and ice. With no need for shakers, or even a salt-rimmed glass, the Paloma is simple as well as balanced.
